Pimping up lampshades

By Lighting No Comments

Check out these oversized lampshades! What a good idea.  Material on the lampshades is from the amazing swedish designer Lisa Bengtsson.  And you can buy this material on-line through Bemz.com. If you happen to have some oversized lampshades in your home try re-vamping up an old lampshade. Or two. Sounds like something to do for the weekend:-)

New Mini Grow Lightshades

By Lighting, Wood No Comments

David Trubridge is an amazing designer, originally from Northern England but since 1985 has been living in New Zealand. And he gets alot of his inspiration from the nature we have in New Zealand.  LOVE!

His Mini Grow Lights range has just been launched at the 2012 Milan Design Fair. They have taken inspiration from their larger siblings Kina, Koura and Hinaki. I would say that they look pretty fantastic hanging in a group over a dining table or even in a stairwell.

I think I’m wanting them…

Thanks for dropping by,  have a good day :-)

New lighting from Louise Campbell

By Lighting No Comments

I love ‘lc shutters’ from Louise Campbell. It’s made from one piece of material making it very difficult made in its own right. And then how the light plays through the shutter holes making it gentle and not blinding on the eyes but at the same time giving the usual direct light under for activities. This lamp would work well in any home whether you have very modern space or the quirkiest of children’s rooms– this fixture has got a place in so many different settings.

Pics from the fantastic Louise Campbell website.

Keep smiling:-)

New lampshade from Muuto

Loving this new super big lampshade ‘Under the bell’ from Muuto. Now this is taking acoustics to a new and fun level. How fantastic would this look over a dinner table, very intimate and embracing at the same time. Very sexy!  Tongue in cheek people.   But seriously check out Muutos webpage to read more about ‘under the bell.’

Make your own lamp shade

By Lighting No Comments

Good ideas for the weekend. This is very cool and I just know that there are many people out there that have some old unused lampshades hanging around in the loft. Get them out and make your own very own creation:)))

Nothing to do this weekend?

By Lighting No Comments

Hey what a great idea! Loving the shape of this lamp which you can buy from here through Etsy. Or why not get along to Ikea, buy a big Foto light shade and paint it with chalkboard paint. Easy peasy so get cracking people.

Lots of love

Wall or mirror light?

By Bathroom, Lighting, Mirror No Comments

Lighting fixtures inspiration…whatever takes your fancy for the day…

Ice cube -incredabily cool on the wall above or beside the mirror in clear glass from Lampefeber.

Perfect for applying make-up, loving this mirror Lumina from Expo-Nova.

Sporty and fun new SÄVERN from Ikea.

A modern twist to wall lighting Nova from Svedbergs.

This would look stunning on a mirror -nothing like adding a bit of exclusiveness and glamour to a bathroom, not sure you would get the best light on your face though, but some sacrifice we have to make sometimes. Sfera from Tilboligen.no

Have a good day everyone;)
