‘Christmas Free’

By Colours, Furniture, Interior styles No Comments

With all the hustle and bustle and commotion and stress connected to Christmas I have made a decision to go ‘Christmas Free’ from all festive pictures.  Now you might say BORING with a yawn but honestly the only reason I don’t like Christmas is because of all the stress that it involves. So I say ‘CHILL OUT’ people, take it easy, enjoy every day as it is. Love and re-use. Love what you have and NOT what you don’t have! And today I’m loving this eclectic mix picture…so enjoy:)

Fantastic small pad in Oslo

By Interior styles 2 Comments

Let’s be honest, what’s better than looking through the real estate agents to get a real live, instant trend report. Sometimes though one forgets to look at the construction of the house but look rather at the styling of the home instead -as seen below! So if you’re tempted and quick, this apartment is for sale and can be all yours… find it here.

Wow!

Wishing you all a fabulous day:)

Bringing the outside in!

By Fireplaces, Interior styles, Livingroom, Wood No Comments

I’m absolutely enthused… not that I’m looking forward to the long snowy months in front of us but this space is dreamy…the big windows, the white wooden paneling, the rustic cabin feeling is just amazing. I could sit at the window and watch all wild life go casually by…wouldn’t that be just fantastic! Brings nature right in. Now how’s that for inspiration…happy weekend:)

Living with wood

By Interior styles, Wood No Comments

We see more and more wood coming back into the home these days. And I think wood is a very soft and soothing material to use in contrast to the flat painted walls. Wood embraces us in an interior with the feeling of warmth and texture and can be very classy indeed –specially on walls. We just have to dare…

Quiet please I’m dreaming…

By Bathroom, Bedroom, Fireplaces, Interior styles No Comments

Now I can just see myself walking round in this home with no worries indeed. It’s the simplicity and unpretentious feel that makes it so inviting. A little dash of bohemian and a little bit of second hand finds cleverly marriages the two into a very casual and interesting affair. Bravo! How about you and I sit down by the fireplace with a cup of tea and have a good little quiet time together. Sound good?

There is something warm and soothing about a fireplace. Make it as a feature in a comtempary interior can be just stunning. While many of us can only dream of having an open fireplace in our home, these tantalizing pictures here will only weaken us more with wanting…so sorry:))

Abigal Ahern

By Celebrity homes, Interior styles 3 Comments

Today I just have to share with you Abigail Ahern from London. She has such an amazing talent with interiors; her style is very unique, very daring and very unexpected! She lives for dark, fun and sensual interiors, and has made it her vendetta to convert the rest of the world to it too. Mixing unusual textures together with laughable objects and lamps just brings out the humour in any person and space. Well I’d say there’s nothing like living on the wild side, you either love it or hate the style, but that’s just the reason why I think shes’s hot! These pictures taken in her London home come from the fantastic blog called The Selby who has the most amazing flair of capturing famous people being casual in their own homes. So follow the link to see more of Abigal Aherns’ enticing home…

Happy day everyone:)

Looking dark and sexy

By Colours, Interior styles No Comments

I’m back… and ready for action.  Today I was looking for some dark and sexy and powerful inspiration just to get me started after the summer holidays. The sun is still shining here in Bergen but I just love this interior. The darkness of colour, natural materials with the use of both light and dark woods creates an unreal stunning and exciting combination for an interior… very exciting indeed. I’m lovin’ it.

See you soon again…

Summer holidays

By Interior styles No Comments

I’m now officially on holiday. From today there will be sheer bliss of relaxing and doing nothing. Absolutely zero, nought, not a thing, zilch, nil…it sounds like heaven! Three weeks of joy sounds great to me. But I’m really looking forward to autumn folks with lots of happenings and a competition for facebook followers so I would like to wish everybody on this side of the world a beautiful and happy summer holiday and look forward to seeing ya in August with bells on and rearing to go.

Aren’t they fun?

See you in August.
