Hey girls…it starts here…in Bergen!

By Happenings, My work No Comments

I don’t know about you all out there but when I take a look around my home I think –what was I thinking when I bought that picture there on the wall, the frame doesn’t do justice to the picture inside it!  What was I thinking when I put that bookshelf inaccessible behind a door, and what on earth was I thinking when I bought that rug under the coffee table! I’ve never liked that colour and pattern, so why is it still there?

Interior decorating is a process and we change our tastes with the wind.

So, how do we achieve that almighty interior look that will make our home into that beautiful home we’ve always wanted?  I say everybody can achieve that beautiful home it’s just you haven’t realized it yet! You just can’t see it, but it’s there right in front of our eyes and it shouldn’t need to cost a fortune to get it! We can recycle, re-design, think new -use the old, blend a little bit of the new with the old.  We just need a little awareness of what to look for when decorating for our dream home.

So take action in your own interior decorating process, come together with other interior lovers at RoomDesigns interior ‘WORKSHOP’…so come on…join in!

Read more about and sign up here ‘WORKSHOP’… I have a few places left on Tors 22 mars…so be quick!!!

See ya soon.

RoomDesign will go back to the absolute first thing one should think of when starting decorating a room- your ambitions! Want to find out more read here.  And last but not least -there will be a spesial guest, Kerstin fromDen Grønne Baljen, she will be talking about recycling and redesign for us in our home!

Can’t wait…join in!

Happy holidays

By Happenings No Comments

Well this year has been a crazy year for me, with building up the courage to start my own business and all has gone way over my expectations to say it mild.  With a lot of contact building and being at the Interiør&Bolig Trade Fair has opened a lot of new doors for me. And it’s been tough to start a new business not knowing anyone and a lot of courage!

And I would like to say a big and huge thank you to everyone who has read and followed the blog this year. Without any big competitions to grab followers and without any advertising or links to the other big network of blogs out there I feel I’ve done well. Thank you guys very much.

I’ll be taking a wee break from blogging and will be back on the 3rd January. So I wish you hugs and kisses for the Christmas holiday and have a fantastic Happy New Year!

I’m just so looking forward to a day of fixing and problem solving in an area of her home. And fun it shall be, so stay tuned for the outcome. Here are some pictures from the Trade fair…

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all you who have visited my stand at the trade fair and written their names down for the competition. I have been absolutely overwhelmed at the response, and it’s because of you all that the trade fair has been so much fun for me to be at. So thanks!

Interiør & Boligmessen 2011

Bergen,Grieghallen 23.-25. September

For those of you living i Bergen, this is the very first interior and house fair ever in Bergen with everything from A-Z in interior to do under one roof. And it’s going to be exciting with top designers from Bergen like Skandinavian Surface, and Knudsen og Hindenes. Many of the top interior design shops will be there as well like Inside Design, TiT Art&Design and Berle Taburetten and many, many more. There will be some fantastic artists displaying their art work, several special guests speaking, and many different cafes serving coffee so that you can sit and relax in between the happenings. Sounds like a unique change to catch up on trends and news out there in the interior world, in Bergen!

And then, drum roll please…little me is going to be there as well. I’m very excited and very nervous and I can’t wait! Little me showing off what I can do. It’s a big honour and privilege to be allowed to be there, and I’m thrilled to be where design, kvalitet and individualism stands high on the list for an interior event!

So have a brilliant day ’cause I know I will:-)

Furniture design from a young man, could this be the future chair we’ll be sitting on? Loved the small details of leather round the seat and the metal screws at the back. Very original which is not so easy to be in a design world overflowing with influences coming from all corners of the world.

Have a fabulous weekend and if looking for something inspirational to do check out the different Bachelor Degree Exhibitions in town, finishes this Saturday.

Enjoy.
