Nothing to do this weekend?

Hey what a great idea! Loving the shape of this lamp which you can buy from here through Etsy. Or why not get along to Ikea, buy a big Foto light shade and paint it with chalkboard paint. Easy peasy so get cracking people.

Lots of love

Celebrity home; Hillery Swank in Manhatten

By Celebrity homes No Comments

I love this apartment to Hillery Swank. From the wooden walls, the casual and social kitchen area, the round mirror over the cabinet in the entrance way, dark and moody sofa corner, and the wood used in the shower floor in the bathroom. Simple and unpretentiousness  for a celebrity. Nice:)

Today it’s simple, two words, and two fantastic words they are as well to say how grateful and thankful I am to you, for following me on my blog. My intention is not to be the biggest and best in the world’s blogging-sphere with the millions of other blogs out there.            But I have got an exclusive handful of you that follow me! And that’s awesome.                  So thank you :)

Bringing the outside in!

By Fireplaces, Interior styles, Livingroom, Wood No Comments

I’m absolutely enthused… not that I’m looking forward to the long snowy months in front of us but this space is dreamy…the big windows, the white wooden paneling, the rustic cabin feeling is just amazing. I could sit at the window and watch all wild life go casually by…wouldn’t that be just fantastic! Brings nature right in. Now how’s that for inspiration…happy weekend:)

Living with wood

By Interior styles, Wood No Comments

We see more and more wood coming back into the home these days. And I think wood is a very soft and soothing material to use in contrast to the flat painted walls. Wood embraces us in an interior with the feeling of warmth and texture and can be very classy indeed –specially on walls. We just have to dare…

A little touch of paradise

By Fireplaces No Comments

Yohoo..it’s the weekend and I’m looking for a little relaxing time in the backyard. That’s my backyard -not this little paradise of a backyard below unfortunately. But no harm in a little wishing right?   Now is it just me or is it that these weekends come round so quickly and where do the weekdays get to…not that I’m complaining, believe me.  So I say ROCK ON weekend:))

Exquisite lighting

By Lighting, New Zealand homes 2 Comments

Today I want to share with you an amazing designer from New Zealand.          Jeremy Coles lighting are inspirited of the nature and flora from New Zealand. All the lamps leaves are handmade in porcelain. They are masterpieces to look at, so elegant and delicate, and the workmanship that has been put into them just takes your breath away. So take a look at his website, where you can read and see more of his beautiful work. I’m loving this…

Quiet please I’m dreaming…

By Bathroom, Bedroom, Fireplaces, Interior styles No Comments

Now I can just see myself walking round in this home with no worries indeed. It’s the simplicity and unpretentious feel that makes it so inviting. A little dash of bohemian and a little bit of second hand finds cleverly marriages the two into a very casual and interesting affair. Bravo! How about you and I sit down by the fireplace with a cup of tea and have a good little quiet time together. Sound good?

Taking wallpaper to the outside!

By Commersial design, Wallpaper No Comments

Awesome! What a brilliant idea from Farrow&Ball with their newly opened concept store in New York. They have brought the inside out side by treating the exterior walls with wallpaper. Wow -for a statement and it looks fantastic. It’s funny how one just has to think outside the box to make such an amazing and exciting feature for the sake of promotion. Though I can’t imagine it would last that long if it started raining though…but who cares it’s such a crazy fun thing to do…
