Hey girls…it starts here…in Bergen!

By Happenings, My work No Comments

I don’t know about you all out there but when I take a look around my home I think –what was I thinking when I bought that picture there on the wall, the frame doesn’t do justice to the picture inside it!  What was I thinking when I put that bookshelf inaccessible behind a door, and what on earth was I thinking when I bought that rug under the coffee table! I’ve never liked that colour and pattern, so why is it still there?

Interior decorating is a process and we change our tastes with the wind.

So, how do we achieve that almighty interior look that will make our home into that beautiful home we’ve always wanted?  I say everybody can achieve that beautiful home it’s just you haven’t realized it yet! You just can’t see it, but it’s there right in front of our eyes and it shouldn’t need to cost a fortune to get it! We can recycle, re-design, think new -use the old, blend a little bit of the new with the old.  We just need a little awareness of what to look for when decorating for our dream home.

So take action in your own interior decorating process, come together with other interior lovers at RoomDesigns interior ‘WORKSHOP’…so come on…join in!

Read more about and sign up here ‘WORKSHOP’… I have a few places left on Tors 22 mars…so be quick!!!

See ya soon.

Perfectionism sucks.

I dig this picture today. It’s all in the way you put everything together that sets the mood in a room. It’s unexpected, unpretentious and coincidental. Let the interior you live in show what type of person YOU ARE and not somebody else. Forget the perfect room go for a room bursting with personality that tells me all about you. Loving it!

Happy day everyone.

All-in-white wallpaper

By Interior styles, Patterns, Wallpaper No Comments

I have been recently trying to find some wallpaper lately for a client, which has a 3 dimensional look. I came across this wallpaper with books and with wood paneling all in white.  Love it. It gives a room more depth, looks real and at the same time very elegant. Now this would be fun to use…

All pics from Minehearts website.

Happy weekend everyone and I’ll see you next week.

By Happenings, My work One Comment

…RoomDesign is now presenting a unique course that’s different from other interior design courses because it focuses on YOU as the most important factor when it comes to decorating your home. Many people start decorating their home by first buying paint or wallpaper or even a new piece of furniture and then discover it’s just not working out how they wanted it or thought it to be. RoomDesign will go back to the absolute first thing one should think of when starting decorating a room- your ambitions! Want to find out more read here.  And last but not least -there will be a spesial guest, Kerstin fromDen Grønne Baljen, she will be talking about recycling and redesign for us in our home!

Can’t wait…join in!

An eye for detail

By Colours, Furniture, Interior styles, Livingroom No Comments

I find myself very fascinated with this living room below and had to share it with you.  There are just so many interesting details to this room I just don’t know where to begin! The lemon walls with the beige silky curtains. The pictures hung tightly over the top of the windows. The chunky wood base furniture with the classical reading chairs in the back ground. Check the Scandinavian pendel lamp-shade and the brassy French metal floor lamp in the foreground.  Lemon, gold, beige and black. What a mix! And I love the linen coloured floss rug on the polished concrete floor.  Here lives somebody with an eye for detail.
